ROUGH //
Recent Push & Core #1 training session reminded me once again of the hidden benefits of training outdoors.
First weather was pretty ok, +1 Celsius, half cloudy, quite windy though, but a pretty decent weather for yet another outdoor training session.
In the middle of the session, weather changed quite rapidly, wind picked up and it started to hail.
Old me would’ve just called it a day, but nowadays I don’t even notice if it rains or shines or whatever basically. Instead I can stay 100% focused on what I’m doing regardless of the weather.
And that’s what “ROUGH” stands for in ATW’s core values.
“ROUGH” MEANS BECOMING MORE RESILIENT TO THE EXTERNAL ELEMENTS.
What is up Warriors!
I promised not to spam you guys but.. Maybe I should sit down to write a bit more often.

It’s being able to stay locked in the mission at hand whether it is completing a training session or navigating through the parking lot when it’s pouring rain. Whether or not people around you are panicking bc of getting their shoes wet, you have your loves ones to take care of and get them safely to your car. And the same goes for training:
If someone believes you can’t train in a hail storm, it perhaps means they couldn’t but certainly not that YOU couldn’t.
There’s a difference.
The calmer you are able to stay in challenging situations..
the more aware you can be of your surroundings (ATW | Active Awareness)
the better decisions you make and
the better you can protect the ones who mean the world to you.
So that’s why I recommend you train outdoors all year around - in every condition.
And yea, not to forget fresh air, just being in the nature, no roof or walls around you. If you haven’t tried it yet, have your next workout session outdoors no matter the weather. Embrace ROUGH //
Thanks for being here, have an awesome day, and as always, don’t hesitate to reach out in case you need help with anything!

Why bother?
Why go through all the struggle voluntarily when we could also choose couch, snacks and some nonsense from tv like The Bachelor, sports or one of the worst options out here.. the news?
Why choose to spend our precious free time challenging our bodies, minds and lives?
Why become a bit better every day and prepare ourselves in smaller and bigger everyday Body // Mind // Life -challenges?

What is up Warriors!
Tbh guys, I have no idea how these newsletter kind of letters should be written.
And to be even more honest, I don’t actually care, so I’ll just do me, okay? I try my best not to take too much time of your busy life.

Miyamoto Musashi said it perfectly back in the day. Realising that we are capable of things most people are not, brings the level of self-confidence in our lives that has no comparison.
Just knowing that when bigger or smaller shtf, we are prepared in advance, and we can handle pretty much whatever curveballs life throws at our faces.
Also acknowledging that we can take care and protect our loves ones in everyday life as well in emergencies is something that cannot be bought with any currency. And being aware that we don’t have to rely 100% on external “support” systems is just priceless.
But don’t worry if you don’t have all of these puzzle pieces together – no one has and no one will ever have. The only thing we can do today is start paying attention to stuff that develops us instead of what keeps us stuck in the mundane.
One piece at a time, bit better every day.
Rough // Strength // Protect
That’s it actually - in the end of the day - in a nutshell. I’ll dive deeper into these words and the meanings behind them in the upcoming ATW | Insiders.
I haven’t always intentionally thought like this. Majority of my life I haven’t paid too much attention on what’s actually important to me. It’s not that I wouldn’t have agreed to these specific words and meanings behind them if someone would’ve “opened” them up for me for example 10 years ago.
These very same core values have been in me all the time, but without bringing them up in my conscious mind the impact in my daily actions and bigger life goals has been only a fraction of what the effect is in my life nowadays.
So, what’s behind “ROUGH // STRENGHT // PROTECT”? Find out in the upcoming ATW | Insiders.
Thanks for reading, take care and have an AWESOME day!
